The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Range

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter and Rough Body Scrub

I wasn't as excited for any other Body Shop release as I was for the body shop wild Argan range to be launched here. As soon as they were launched I picked up the body butter and their rough body scrub. I have used almost all the body shop body butters and I think I can safely say that this by far has been my favourite of them all. The scent of this range is very soothing,  comforting, nutty, and delicious.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter

This is the one that I was most excited about and I am equally happy about it. I love slathering this one right after a nice hot shower. It has a really nice consistency, not to thick or greasy, which spreads very easily and evenly. The butter takes a little longer to absorb on the skin than other lotions or butters, but once it's absorbed it leaves the skin feeling extremely nourished.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Rough Body Scrub

Since the scrub is infused with argan oil in it, it is very efficient in not only removing dead skin but also nourishing it at the same time, leaving your skin very soft and supple. This scrub is of the gel variety with tiny exfoliating beads suspended in it. I like to take a pinch of the scrub for each part of my body and it leaves it feeling extremely smooth. One scoop of this will be enough for your whole body.

They are both priced at Rs 1095/-

Revlon Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights Review and Lip Swatch

I recently picked up the new Revlon Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights in a whim when they were just launched here in India few months ago. Apparently these are a dupe for the YSL glossy stains.

The colour stay moisture stain lipsticks come in a sturdy tube and wand style packaging, which is very practical and travel friendly. The doe wand is very sharp, so it's really easy to draw in the corners and the cupid's bow. The cap also screws up very securely so I wouldn't think twice before tossing this into my bag, as I don't have to worry about squishing the tube and spilling lipstick all over my bag.

The pigmentation of the colour is very impressive, and the lipstick applies very easily and evenly leaving a shiny, opaque finish without being sticky, thick or heavy . It feels very creamy on the lips and the formula has Aloe and Vitamin E so the lipstick is very moisturising.

The glossiness gradually goes away after a few hours or if you eat/drink something but the lipstick stains the lips beautifully and the stain stays for some time but the stain also fades evenly after few hours.

The Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Lipsticks are available in 8 shades and are priced at Rs 675 each.

You can watch me use the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Lipstick in Barcelona Nights in this video.

If you follow me on Instagram or twitter (which you should), you would have known that I went to the capital city, Delhi, recently and finally got to experience a little chilly weather. It was around 12-14 degrees in the morning and night but when the sun was up the weather got pretty warm. Nonetheless, it was much colder than what we have here in Mumbai. It is currently 32 degrees as I am typing this and trust me, it is hot. Anyways, I grabbed the opportunity to film a get ready with me video showing you my entire winter morning skin care routine. I hope you don't get bored watching the same skincare products, as I don't change them very often.

I would love to know what the weather is like currently where you are from and what you like to do to keep warm in the comments section below.

LUXOLA.COM HAUL has started shipping to India and they have a wide range of beauty and makeup brands that were quite difficult to avail here in India. They have brands like Alpha-H, Apothecary, Color Bucket, Estelle & Thild, Korres, Sigma, Nuxe, NCLA, Mirenesse, Wet and wild, Zoeva, to name a few. You can find the whole list of brands by clicking here.

What I liked the most about the site is the fact that you get to see all the prices in Indian currency and that's why shopping there is so much easier, because I don't have to calculate it in my head.

Every time I order something from an international site, I worry that my customs are going to be higher than the things I ordered, but Luxola has shipping free above a order of Rs 2300 and the costs includes customs, which is incredible. The shipping is trackable as well because they ship via Aramex, i.e. you will have your package within a week.

You can avail 30% off with the coupon code BLX-DEBASREE and the code is active only till the 20th December 2014. The code isn't valid for the following non discountable brands:

Dercos by Vichy
Dr. Wu Clinical Skincare
Real Techniques
Sigma Beauty

They also have a 35% off on everything in their store for the GOSF 2014, you can check out everything that is on offer by clicking here.

The new L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lipstick has launched exclusively at on 10th of December for the Google Online Shopping Fest 2014.

I was very lucky to get my hands on the new lipstick in 3 beautiful shades before the launch so that I could share my thoughts on it and here's everything you need to know about them:

The lipsticks come in a sleek gold mirrored packaging which looks really appealing, but it's light in weight as it is made out of plastic. The plastic at the bottom of the tube coordinates the colour of the lipstick and has the name of the shade written on it. On the side of each tube is a clear window which shows the colour of the lipstick inside which is very helpful in recognising and organising the shades. The lipsticks also have a very subtle, sweet and pleasant smell to them.

The formula of these lipsticks are something new from L'Oreal, it has the shine of a gloss and feeling of a balm. They go on super creamy and smooth, and it feels insanely good to slather this on your lips. You won't feel like stopping once you start, trust me. The feeling is very similar to Nyx's Butter Gloss or Soft Matte lipsticks.

The lipstick is very thick in consistency, so it almost feels like a lip lacquer. They have a big doe foot applicator which makes it really easy to apply the thick lipstick. The colours appear very bright on the bottle, but they show up semi opaque on the lips. The colour goes on opaque in one swipe of the doe foot applicator, but it isn't as pigmented as seen in the packaging. Even though the lipstick is thick, it doesn't apply patchy at all. They look super glossy when worn and the subtle shimmers in the shade reflect the light beautifully. The best part is that despite being glossy they aren't sticky at all, which is perfect because the feeling of hair stuck on lips is just gross!

The only downside of these lipsticks is their lasting power, they do not last long at all. The colour fades away very quickly but the balm/oil part of the formula sits on your lips and it still feels hydrating. This is exactly the opposite of other liquid lipsticks, where the colour retains but you need to reapply the lipstick or a lip balm to bring the moisture back. The colour fades starting from the centre of the lips and leaves a film on the outer corners of my lips. The darker colour stains your lips so they are much more long lasting than the lighter ones. Since it is very moisturising, this would be perfect for the colder months.

The shades..

Loreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lipstick in Rose Melody

Rose Melody is a very subtle, light, neutral pink shade with tiny glitter flecks in it. The colour goes on very opaque on my lips but not as pigmented as the bottle. This shade looks almost nude on me and is a perfect day colour for your pout. This shade is pretty universal and it will look good on almost anyone.

Loreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lipstick in Orange Tempo

Orange Tempo is a vibrant shade of orange with a red undertone, which is very bright. This shade will look really nice on warm complexions.

Loreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lipstick in Rouge Allegro

Rouge Allegro is a warm pinkish red,  which will look fantastic on almost any skin tone. This shade is my favourite from the lot, and lasted the longest on me.

There are 8 shades in total and all of them are available online at from today and you can get a free Kajal Magique when you buy the lipstick.

You can buy the lipsticks here >>

They also have a lot of brands at 30% for GOSF >>

The body shop new lip and cheek geisha doll
The body shop lip and cheek doll

The body shop has launched a limited edition packaging of one of their cult products, the lip and cheek stains, and it is beyond CUTE! I think it is a part of their new christmas makeup range and this is a new shade of red with tiny gold glitters in it.

The shade is a very natural flush of red, that instantly sticks onto your lips or cheeks and stains them. The stain is very watery so when you apply it, it just colours your lips and/or cheeks and doesn't feel sticky or moisturising and also dries down matte; You will almost forget that you have something on your lips. The tiny flecks of golden glitter in the stain catches the light beautifully and the matte finish doesn't look flat because of that.

So here's what you need to know;

On the Lips..

The stain is very pigmented so you need to make sure that you've applied it inside your lips and the small doe foot applicator does come handy when it comes to doing that. You can draw your cupid's bow quite precisely with it, but it is a bit small when it comes to filling the lips, but it's nothing to worry about.

The stain is darker on the lightest part of your lips, which for me is in the centre of my bottom lip, and it is lighter on the darker parts of my lips, which are the outer edges and my top lip. Therefore, it seems to appear very uneven and patchy on my lips. If you look closely at the close up picture of my lips down below, you can see exactly what I mean. When the stain dries down, it looks much better than when wet on the lips.

The stain is very watery and dries really quickly so you need to make sure you've applied it evenly onto your lips, I like to dab on the stain using the doe foot on my lips and then use my finger to smudge it evenly. Nonetheless, the finish of the stain is like you've just bitten your lips, which looks very natural and pretty. It will be perfect for someone who doesn't wear makeup very often. Also, this can be an amazing base if you wish to wear red lipstick for a special event and you don't want the colour to fade, or don't have time for a touch up.

Since, the pigments stain the lips, it stays on very long. I am a massive lip biter and I tend to eat up lipsticks very quickly, but no matter how much I smacked my lips, the stain didn't leave. It did get lighter by the end of the day and I had to reapply after eating to brighten the red up.
Oh! lastly, make sure you moisten your lips before you stain them, I've learned the hard way.

the body shop lip and cheek doll from their new christmass makeup range,

On the Cheeks...

Apply a very small amount of the stain onto the apples your cheeks and blend it all in using your fingers. A lot of the stain transfers onto your finger, so be careful or else it might spread to places you do not want the blusher at. Since the stain dries quickly, you need to spread and blend it quickly so that there are no hard edges.
You will get a gorgeous flush of colour on your cheek, very natural looking, like you just ran a 5k track. It gives a very healthy and radiant finish, and I think I like it more on my cheeks than on my lips.
It could also be a fantastic base if you want a long lasting blush. You can simply use this on your cheeks before you do your foundation or BB cream and then apply your blush over it. It will last all day long. This will be perfect to achieve the no makeup makeup look.

The body shop lip and cheek stain doll review
I tried to imitate the model here, with the top knot and the pout but failed miserably!! Sadly, the bun got cropped out, and I look nothing like her. :P

The body shop lip and cheek doll is priced at Rs 1495/- for 28ml. I think it is a bit on the pricey side, considering it being very similar to the original lip and cheek stain, which is priced at Rs 850/- for 8ml. If you notice the difference in the volume, I guess the price makes sense. You can buy it online by clicking here.
This would be a perfect gift for your friends, cousins, or maybe someone who is in high school or college and isn't allowed to wear much makeup, or as a stocking filler. This would be a perfect christmas stocking filler. Plus, it will look really nice and cute on your/their dressing table as well. Just saying. ;)

Top 5 Dark Lipsticks for Indian Skin Tone

As the weather turns colder, the darker lipsticks starts taking over my corals and pinks. As a teenager I use to associate these colours only with something like my mom and her friends would wear, but as I turn older, and hopefully wiser, I am starting to love and appreciate darker colours. Something about them is so sexy and they have the old school charm to them.

From a sultry to a very vampy look the choices are endless with these shades, and I am sharing my top 5 picks that would look best on Indian skin tone.

The Rimmel  London Lipstick in cutting edge is an absolutely bargain at only Rs 215. It is a beautiful purple with a pink hue which is very similar to Rebel. I love the formula of this lipsticks, it's semi-matte, creamy and long lasting. The colour stains your lips, so even though you eat your lipstick up the colour doesn't fade. Like I said, these lipsticks are absolute steals.

Up next is the Faces Canada Lipstick in Black Cherry, which is a reddish brown colour with a very creamy formula. This colour will look fantastic on dusky skin and it won't even break your wallet. Priced at Rs 250, and being long lasting, enriched with vitamin E, and sleek packaging, this lipstick is yet another bargain.

The Maybelline Jewels in Red garnet is a rich, deep plum shade which will make you feel like a diva instantly. This is the shade you would want to wear on a winter date. It is so rich, velvety, and pigmented. Since the lipstick has the consistency of a balm the lipstick doesn't stay on for too long, but the colour stains your lips and you get the "just bitten my lips" look. This would look great on any skin tone.

Last but not the least we have Maybelline 14 hours Super Stay in Timeless Crimson. This is a dark red lipstick (almost maroon) with a blue undertone. This colour is the best during autumn and winter, will look great on any skin tone, and is very affordable at Rs 350.

I have a full tutorial on the Mac Rebel lipstick, so you can check out the look of it in this tutorial. I also shared a dupe for this lipstick as Mac has increased the price of their lipstick from Rs 999 to Rs 1499/-.

I have a very exciting post today, I have collaborated with Aakriti Rana who is a fashion blogger at La Chica Loca Blog. Not only is she absolutely stunning but also a sweat heart with an incredible sense of styling. I love going through her Instagram gallery and can't stop myself from double tapping each and every one of her pictures. I love how edgy and chic her style is, she is a true fashionista.

I usually only do makeup looks but leave the styling part out but today I have teamed up with Aakriti to show you two makeup looks and a hairstyle to go along with the look that she has styled.

I am absolutely in love with wearing monochrome these days with a pop of bright colour on my lips, so when I saw her outfit, I knew we had to do a bright lip. I kept the eyes fairly simple by drawing a quick winged liner using the Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner in Ultimate black to line my upper lashes with a golden base ( you can use any golden eyeshadow you like and pat it over your entire eyelids) Draw a line as close to your lash line and then draw a flick starting from your lower lashes and moving towards the end of your eyebrows. Draw an isosceles triangle pulling the line inwards and you've got yourself a perfect winged liner. Curl your lashes and add tons of mascara, here I used the Maybelline The Falsies mascara. To highlight the eyes add a little bit of a shimmery white shadow on the inner corner of your eyes and on the brow bone. For the bright pop of colour I chose a beautiful bright fuchsia pink from the Rimmel Apocalips range in the shade Apocalyptic. I love how long lasting and easy to wear this one is.

Inspired by her beautiful Zara heels, I decided to do another makeup look using an eye pencil in the same shade. I used the Maybelline Colour Crayon in Ocean Blue to line my lashes, I used the same technique as the winged liner but with out any eyeshadow under. I used the same mascara, and finished the look with the new Revlon Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights

For a casual look you can leave your hair down, but if you'd like a more formal look you can throw your hair in a messy bun. I will be posting a full tutorial on this hairstyle so make sure you subscribe to my Youtube Channel here.

Here's what she has to say about her outfit

So my today’s look is all about being semi-formal. Ever had those days when you have to go to office and still wan to dress up and look gorgeous in those boring formals? Well I have a perfect solution for that. I have picked a simple b/w striped maxi from Billa Bong and wore it with a black Zara blazer. To make it look a little funky, I added some silver accessories, contrasting Zara heels and carried a barrel bag by DKNY.

I found her through the explore page (which I didn't like at first and wanted popular page back, but now in love with) and I am hooked ever since. The first picture with the red lipstick is what I saw first. All her pictures are drool worthy and it is taking some serious will power to resist sharing all of her instagram pictures here, I had plan to just share one but I think let's stick to 2.
I love all her product recommendations and she has a mix of both high end and drugstore makeup. She also throws in OOTD posts as well which are as drool worthy as her product posts.

She is a very pretty 22 year old Norwegian Girl, who posts beautiful pictures of her makeup haul and they are mostly high end, this account is my gateway to looking at all the new collections and launches from some of the best high end beauty brands like Channel, Tom Ford etc

A bubbly Singaporean beauty blogger with amazing swatches of almost all of the latest launch of all major beauty products. She is such an enabler, I am relieved that some of the brands she mentions aren't available in India yet, or else I would have been broke and in debt buying nothing but makeup.

Although her account is in French and I don't understand a single word of it, I have double tapped almost all her pictures. She has the best (read bestest!) nail swatches, nail arts, and nail of the days. I can literally scroll through her account for hours, she is amazing. She has this beautiful tutorials of her nail art in GIFs which dissolves the language barrier and shows you how she creates such awesomeness.

I might be cheating with this one, but I am not the best when it comes to styling and I am always looking for inspiration and this account is one of the first one that I go to. All the outfits they show are always right up my alley and they always have a complete look, meaning it not only includes the outfit but also the hairstyle to go along with it, the makeup, lipstick, accessories, shoes, bag, everything!. They also have cheaper options for celebrity looks.

So these are the top 5 beauty accounts that you can follow, like and share with your friends. These are few of the accounts that I love browsing through, and I am always looking for new instagrammers to follow, so please let me know who your favourite is in the comments down bellow.
