Nothing like a bright pop of color on your lips during spring time. As the weather is getting warmer, I decided that I needed to wear cooler tones on my lips and so I went on a hunt to find a perfect cool shade for spring.
I came back home with a gorgeous shade from the Bourjois Shine range in no 20 1,2,3.. Soliel. It has a sheer, lip balm like texture, but has vibrant, pigmented colour payoff. Usually most of the ranges end up having very similar shades, and I already own most of those shades, but this particular colour caught my attention. It is neither "on your face" bright nor too subtle. This was exactly what I was looking for.
I believe it is quite comparable to the Revlon lip butters which had Shea butter in the and felt very moisturizing on your lips. The differences that I noticed was in terms of colour payoff and longevity. It is long lasting when compared to the Revlon Lips butters. Another difference would be that the bourjois shine range is made with Mango butter unlike shea butter in the Revlon Lip butters.
They're for Rs. 995, which isn't cheap but it's definitely not one of the most expensive. If you like easy wearable lipsticks, that feels great during application and with good colour-payoff, I think these are worth the small investment.
This is going to be my Spring/Summer staple this year.
What's your favourite Spring/Summer Lipsticks? Do you like wearing bright funky colors or soft pastel colors?
