The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil Review
This will be your best friend on those nights where the last thing you want to do is remove makeup. If you wear eye makeup on the daily, and hate it when pesky eye liner and mascara is still clinging on to your lashes after using tons of cotton pads soaked in makeup remover, this will literally change your life. I seriously cannot rave enough about this product. I highly recommend it.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is to be applied directly onto your dry, fully made up skin. Gently massage it into your eyes, lashes and basically anywhere you have applied makeup, wet it slightly to turn it into a milk like consistency, and watch all your makeup vanish like magic when you rinse off the oil with water or by using a flannel/washcloth. The consistency of the oil is slightly runny, as opposed to being waxy as seen in other oil based cleansers, it is very silky indeed. It neither leaves any residue nor leaves your skin feeling dry or oily. It is the most easy and efficient way to remove makeup. It doesn't aggravate the skin, and the formula is really gentle because of Chamomile in the oil.

It is priced at Rs 1095 for 200ml.

SIX ways to use White Eyeliner

Lakmé eyeconic white eyeliner

White Eyeliner is the most versatile makeup product. There are so many ways you can utilise it, and here are 6 ways you can use in your everyday makeup routine:-

1.  Inner Corner Highlight

Highlighting the inner corner of the eyes makes a huge difference, especially when you are wearing a smokey look. It catches the light and brightens up the whole eye. Scribble the eye liner near the tear duct area and gently smudge it using your finger.

2. Brow Bone Highlight.

Scribble the white liner just underneath your eyeshadow and smudge it using your fingers by using a gentle tapping motion. The white liner will accentuate your brows, which will help frame your face and brighten the entire eye makeup.

4. In the Waterline to Open up Small Eyes or Tired Looking Eyes.

The white in the waterline will erase the redness, and you will look awake instantly. If you think white is too intense for you, choose a nude eyeliner instead.

5. As an EyeShadow base to brighten up Not-So Pigmented Eyeshadows

You can even wear it under a pastel liquid liner, to make the colour pop.

Before the white base.
Dab white eyeliner all over your eyes
After the white base

6. To highlight the Cupid's Bow

Highlighting the cupid's bow makes such a huge difference when you are wearing a bright/dark colour on your lips. It really accentuates the shape of your lips and makes it appear fuller.

7. BONUS:  To cover up Blemishes & redness Use the White Eyeliner to cover up any blemish you might have before applying the concealer, this will help in minimising the redness and conceal effectively.

If you have been shying away from wearing white eyeliner, hope these 7 ways help you to wear it more often.

How to easily remove glitter nail polish without the mess

Glitters are my absolute weakness, and I can't stop wearing glitter nail polishes. With the launch of the new glitter mania ColorShow nail polishes from Maybeline I am sure a lot of you might be sporting glitters on your nails too. Although, it is fun to wear them, it is a pain in the bum to remove. You just cannot remove it without having glitter all over your fingers or without using up at least half of your nail polish remover to efficiently remove every chunk of nail polish/glitter from your nails. To remove glitter off your nails, all you need is pure Acetone and Cotton balls.

How to remove glitter nail polish easily:-

  1. Flatten the cotton balls, and wet it with pure acetone in the centre.
  2. Place the wet cotton on top of your nail and wrap the excess around your fingers snugly.
  3. Continue wrapping each fingers and let it sit for 30-40 seconds.
  4. Press the cotton firmly, right above the nail, and slowly slide the cotton out of your finger.
  5. VoilĂ ! Clean, glitter-free fingers.
  6. Pure Acetone can be very dehydrating, so slather on some cuticle oil on your nails, or you could also use good old Vaseline to moisturise your cuticles, like I am here.

Nothing can stop you from wearing glitter nail polish every day now!!..

Easy DIY Face Mask for Sensitive Skin

I love home remedies, and today I will be sharing a very simple Do-it-Yourself face mask, which is extremely potent in healing very sensitive skin using only two ingredients; Banana & Oats.

Take one over ripe banana and cut it into two halves. Take 2 tablespoons oats and add it to ONE half of the banana. Take a fork and start mashing the two together. The moisture in the banana will soften the oats. You can go ahead and add a dash of HONEY if you have acne prone skin, or few drops of OLIVE OIL if you have dry skin. I didn't add honey to my mask because I am allergic to it, and it makes my face itchy.

Take the face mask and apply it evenly all over your face, and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. You can also apply this to your arms to soothe sunburns/allergies. Once dry, dampen the mask slightly and use a gentle circulatory motion to remove the mask away from your face, this way you can exfoliate your dead skin cells out. You can also use a wet washcloth to remove the mask.

Oats has been associated with calming down skin sensitivity since time immemorial, and is fantastic for calming down any allergic reaction you might have had in your skin.

I have another easy DIY anti-acne face mask tutorial featuring turmeric powder, click here to learn.

What is your favourite home remedy for skin care problems? I would love to know, do share in the comments below.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms: Review + Swatches

Revlon Matte Balm in Standout
Revlon Matte Balm in Audacious
Revlon Matte Balm in Unapologetic

After hearing and reading a lot of people rave about them for months , I finally caved in and bought a couple of the Matte Balms that released earlier this year. They come in plastic twist up style packaging, in the same colour as the shade, which has been very popular amidst a lot of beauty brands ever since the success of the Clinique Chubby Sticks. They have a very creamy consistency and don't appear chalky or dry looking on your lips unless it's very dehydrated. The colours are quiet pigmented and apply very evenly if your lips are well exfoliated. Matte lipsticks tend to accentuate your dry lips and show lines, but it wasn't the case here. Like all Revlon Balms, these have a peppermint flavour and you can feel a slight tingle on your lips when you first apply them, which thankfully goes away after few minutes. You will not notice it once you get used to it,  and it is actually quite refreshing in the hot scorching summer.  These don't stain my lips, and the creamy finish doesn't really set, which makes the lipstick appear fresh and bright even after few hours have passed. They wear for about as long as you don't eat or drink. So prepare for reapplications after your meals. These are priced at Rs 700/-.

I picked up 3 colours:
  • Standout; Warm Red
  • Audacious; Bright Coral
  • Unapologetic; Reddish Pink
Which is your favourite Revlon Matte Balm shade and your favourite "twist up" style lipstick?

An Evening With Kazo

Today I am going to shut up and let the pictures do the talking for me. So sit back, grab a cup of tea, and enjoy the preview of Kazo's new collection, PrimaVera. What's actually interesting is that their collection changes so frequently, and there is so much to choose from. What caught my eye was how well the store was colour coordinated, so easy to grab what you like. When you scroll down, you'll be seeing me wearing my favourite pieces from their new line.

This section of the store was my favourite, and I picked up this gorgeous blue maxi dress.  I loved it SO MUCH, that I went ahead and bought it.

The sequinned yellow tops really caught my attention.

For my second look, I paired this lovely green sequinned top with a pair of well fitted white jeans to really pop the green, and completed the look with this beautiful embellished white & gold clutch.

I also had the opportunity to meet my fashion blogger friends, and a BIG SHOUTOUT to Magali from Life Etc and Blue Skies, Calm Seas, & me  (Right) and Kreena from LiveModish (Left)\\

Find out more about Kazo by visiting their website and follow them on Twitter and Instagram.
