The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes: Review+Swatches

I am obsessing over the body shop shimmer cubes lately.  I never could justify myself buying TBS makeup because I always felt they were a little expensive for me, and only bought these because they were on 70% off, and it was a real steal!. I picked up two palettes, no 6 and 20, and I am wearing no 6 almost everyday, the shimmery bronze-y colours are right up my alley. I love how super pigmented these eyeshadows are, they last really long and blend perfectly. They can fade just a little towards the end of the day, especially if its really really hot & humid. The packaging is pretty meticulous I must say, each eye shadows has their own case with with lids, and all packed together inside a bigger case. It can be very easy to carry around with you if you are on the go, or mix and create your very own quad, however, it can be a little tricky to open the outer case and then open the individual lids every time you use it. These cubes have a lot of product inside it, and it will last really really long.

The Colours:

Shimmer Cubes Palette 06:

01 HoneyComb
02 Dark Chocolate
03 Marshmallow
04 Choc Chip

Shimmer Cubes Palette 20:

01 Indigo Blue
02 Starlight Silver
03 Snow white
04 Midnight Black

The shades HoneyComb and Indigo Blue are my favourites. I love shimmery eyeshadows, and these have a lovely metallic sheen to it. I like it to wear the shades on their own and highlight the brow bone and inner corners with either Marshmallow or Snow white. The shade marshmallow is a perfect highlight colour, and I love wearing the shade on its own even when I am just wearing kohl on my lower lash line. The two palettes are perfect for a smokey look as the shades intensifies when you use a wet brush and the colour looks exactly like they do in the pot. You can even wear the shades as a liner if you use a wet angled brush.

The Body Show Shimmer Cubes are priced at Rs 1695/-
