Freiha Writes x All She Needs: PAC 020 Brush Review

Hey, everybody! Its Fareeha from Freiha Writes here! I hope you all are doing great. I'm back with yet another review for you all: the PAC 020 Brush Review! Read on!

When I saw that the PAC makeup brushes were available on sale at Flipkart, I ordered two immediately. One of them was the PAC 020 brush.

This brush has an angled tip and super dense, tightly packed bristles. The brush is excellent for blending in foundation and concealer. Since the brush bristles are synthetic, they can be used with cream/liquid and powder products alike.

020 helps me blend my foundation into the skin perfectly. There are no streaks or patches, just a flawless, even coverage that looks amazing, even in the harshest light. The angled tip of the brush helps me blend my under eye concealer very easily. Just a few strokes and I'm done! This brush reminds me so much of the Zoeva Angled Buffer (which I am dying to try).

The brush cleans very easily with baby shampoo and warm water. However, it takes a while to dry, since the bristles are so tightly packed.

Overall, I am really happy with this brush. My foundation has never looked better. It has joined the ranks of my favorite foundation brushes (beside Zoeva Silk Finish and Real Techniques Expert Face Brush). At Rs. 585 (on Flipkart), this is a very affordable, high quality makeup brush. I'm going to get myself a few more of PAC 020 for sure!
Till then, stay tuned for more Freiha Writes x All She Needs (FWxASN) posts!

Dupe for Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove

DIY brush cleaning mat, cheap brush cleaning mat.

It's true, lazy people are the smartest.

So I've been procrastinating deep cleaning my brushes for weeks now. I know, it's a terrible thing. The last thing you should do is not wash your makeup brushes regularly, but I've been feeling really lazy lately. I blame it on the heat. It's freaking 40 degrees Celsius here.  Anyway, I finally pulled my lazy ass out and decided to wash my brushes. I wanted to spend the least amount of time doing it, to be honest, and I was looking around my house to find a thing that is similar to the sigma brush cleaning mat. I watched Kaushal's video last night and she seemed to wash her bigger brushes so easily with it, spending lesser time than she usually does.

Lo and behold, I found the perfect alternative. A hot water bag. It's something you must already have at your house. You know those Silicon bags that is a MUST during period cramps? Yup, those.
These bags are made out of silicon and ALWAYS have ridges on them. PERFECT!!
I dipped all my brushes in baby shampoo and water and then gently swirled them on top of the hot water bag.

The results were insane! I got rid of all of the foundation in my thick kabuki brush within seconds. I swear I'm not even kidding. Do not spend on something when this does exactly that!!

Yes, the sigma mat that different kinds of ridges for varied level of cleaning, but honestly, I wouldn't bother to check for different types of ridges for different brushes. I'm too lazy for that.

You'll find these hot water bags at ANY pharmacy for around 300 rupees and you're sorted for both your cramps and brushes.  I found this one online for 200, here is the link:
This one is on 60% off, for Rs 90:!uuuuN

PAC 045 Brush Review

After being on the lookout for a good quality fan brush (and even considering purchasing the Real Techniques Sculpting Set, only for the fan brush), I came across the PAC 045 brush.

Priced at Rs. 350 on Flipkart ( You can find it here:!suuuuN ) this brush has pristine white synthetic bristles. I use this brush to apply powder highlighter to the high points of my cheekbones, bridge of the nose, etc. And this brush performs beautifully.
It picks up the perfect amount of product, not too much and not too less either. And it's super soft bristles make it a joy to use!
This brush cleans easily with baby shampoo and water and dries very quickly with zero shedding.
I'm in love with this brush.
My search for a fan brush has ended with PAC 045 and I am looking forward to trying more brushes from this brand. Such great quality at an affordable price!

BBlunt Dry Shampoo Review

BBlunt products had been on my 'to try' list for a long long time. Grabbing a 10% coupon, I ordered some mini-sized products, hoping to give them a try and seeing if they were worth the full-size repurchase.

Today I will be reviewing the BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo. It comes in a silver aerosolized can, priced at Rs. 250 for 30ml and Rs. 550 for 125ml.

I've tried it on third-day hair when my roots get greasy. The method of use is quite simple: shake the can, spray the dry shampoo at the roots of your hair, massage it in with fingers and comb through.
The BBlunt dry shampoo gets rid of the grease and freshens up my hair quite well. It also gives the roots a great lift, which I am a fan of. The shampoo has a clean, fresh scent that is not overpowering but lingers in your hair for a few hours after use. This dry shampoo also leaves no white residue whatsoever in your hair, as some dry shampoos tend to do.
All in all, the BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo is a winner for me. I have already ordered the full size! If you're looking for a good dry shampoo that does its job with minimal fuss, give this one a shot.

Sugar Cosmetics Its A Pout Time Lipstick Breaking Bare Review

Sugar Cosmetics is a relatively new player in the Indian market and their cutesy packaging and catchy product names intrigued me. Also, I know you're tired of reading Maroon 5's Sugar references with respect to this brand, but I felt like I 'need a little sweetness in my life!'
(There. I put it).

I bought the It's A Pout Time Lipstick in Breaking Bare. Priced at Rs. 599, this lipstick comes in a sleek and elegant black tube. Also, there are four shades in all in the Its A Pout Time Range, inspired by various TV shows. I'm going to list them and try to guess their origins as best as I can okay?

1) Breaking Bare (from Breaking Bad, for sure)
2) The Big Bang Berry (Easy. The Big Bang Theory)
3) Mad Magenta (from Mad Men?)
4) Coraline In The City (Caroline In The City???)

Anyway, Breaking Bare is a gorgeous rose pink shade. The texture of this lipstick is more creamy matte than powdery matte. It goes on quite smoothly on the lips. Be sure to exfoliate and moisturize your lips before putting on this lipstick as matte formulations can exaggerate dry patches. Two swipes will give you a full-color payoff. The lipstick has a slightly waxy feel to it, but it settles down to a satin-matte finish in a few minutes. The lipstick has a faint vanilla scent, nothing too strong. Breaking Bare brightens up my skin color and is quite a fresh, youthful shade.

This shade will suit every Indian skin tone, from the palest to the duskiest. The lipstick has a great lasting power, I chomped my way through a pizza with this one on and it remained pretty much intact. It stayed on my lips for 5-6 hours with minimal fading.

I'm impressed by this offering by Sugar cosmetics and am eyeing up their Matte As Hell Lip Crayon in Holly Golightly next. As for Breaking Bare, I'm definitely getting myself another tube after I'm finished with this one!

PS: Be sure to avail the 10% off coupon from the Sugar Cosmetics official website! It makes for a pretty sweet deal!

A Palazzo Affair

I have wanted to broaden my horizon when it comes to styling my outfits and move past beyond skinny jeans and t-shirts. Unless I try, or rather dare, to wear something different, or something I never thought I could style or pull off, I'll never evolve.  If you've watched the last couple of my videos then you'd know that I'm trying to branch out of neutral eyeshadows into more colourful ones too. So, I am trying to change things up a bit and experiment more with style.

I've never worn palazzo pants. Although it looks really comfy, the thought of styling it seemed very daunting to me. To be honest, I was inspired by Larissa, she often wears pants like this and looks stunning. So, when I saw these pants at Vero Moda for 50% off, I thought hmm, I should give this a try. I took it to the cash counter, half-heartedly, still undecided if I really need this, when the guy said it was for 70% off. That's when I thought, this is the universe giving you a signal. hahaha

Found this crop top, weeks later at Forever 21 and it seemed perfect to pair with these pants. I love how the waist line scallops downwards in the palazzo and the hem scallops upwards in the crop top to create this really cute peek a boo diamond shaped cut out.

I paired it with my favourite heels right now, from Zara. These are super comfy, looks so chic and white is evergreen. I can pair it with almost anything. I didn't think twice before buying them, and later saw them on Kristina Bazan, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, and even on a Levis add. I went to the Zara store the day before and it's still available.

Let me know if you love wearing Palazzo pants, and if so how do you style them.

Palazzo: Vero Moda
Crop Top: Forever 21
Shoes: Zara
Sunglasses: Fendi Knockoffs from Colaba Causeway.
On my lips: ABH liquid Lipstick in Vamp (similar here: )

Technology Update

It has been a hard couple of days for me, I think it is safe to say that I have had the worst weekend ever. If you aren't caught up with my social media, then you might not know what happened with my laptop. Now that I am a full-time YouTuber, my life is practically on my laptop. If that's gone, everything's gone. That's exactly what happened, I came home to my laptop floating in water in my room. It's pretty common to have water cuts during certain times of the day when Summer starts here in Mumbai. I left my tap open to know when water would be back, and unfortunately, my laptop was on the floor because I changed my bedsheets that morning. I left home without realising the tap was running, and then when I got back home everything was drenched in water.  When I lifted my laptop out of it, water came gushing out of it like a shower. I removed as much water as possible and then wrapped it with cling film with rice inside. Left that be for 24 hours and then submitted it to apple care.

It was the longest weekend for me since I didn't have anything to do. I tried looking for a dress for my YTFF red carpet, but with no luck. I got a dress from Koovs for backup (this one) but I don't know if it will reach me on time.

I went to the apple care to find out the damage on my MacBook and turns out the battery and keyboard are gone. It would have cost me an arm and a leg to fix that, so I decided that I'd add one more leg and buy an iMac instead. It will help me my speeding up by editing process and the screen is big enough to see the whole footage clearly. So, I took the plunge and bought the iMac. This is the first thing I am doing with my iMac, I am writing this blog post.

I have so many videos to edit and upload that it is scary to even think about it. I hope you understand the lack of YouTube and blog post uploads, but now there are a lot of them coming your way. I am really excited for you to see them. Thank you so much for the constant support and I am so happy to have 27k subbies now.

I'll see you soon in my next video. xx

L'Oréal True Match Crayon Concealer Review

As much as I love my Revlon Colorstay Concealer, I was getting bored. Just as the itch of wanting to try something new set in, I spotted the L'Oréal True Match Le Crayon Corrector. I snapped it up immediately.
It is available in three shades in India, 20 Vanilla, 30 Beige and 40 Natural (from light to dark). I chose the shade Beige.
Packaged in a chubby stick/crayon form, it reminds me of the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains and their Matte Balms.
Beige is the medium shade, with peach and yellow undertones. True to its claim, this concealer is 'super blendable'. It applies very easily and blends into the skin in a jiffy with a few dabs of the fingers. It gives a medium coverage which is buildable, without looking cakey. It is a creamy concealer, very easy to work with, but eventually settles down to a matte finish. It stays on my oily/combination skin for 6-7 hours without creasing (I set this concealer with a loose powder).
Oily/normal skinned beauties will love the texture of this concealer. But dry skinned ladies will have to make sure to use a good moisturizer before applying this concealer as it can emphasize flakes and dry patches. So far, I'm in love with this concealer. I use it to cover up my under eye area and any blemishes. The crayon tip makes for an easy, precise application.
I will highly recommend this concealer to everyone. If you find a shade that works for you, buy it. You'll love it. As for me, I will definitely repurchase this concealer. In fact, I'm going to buy a backup before this tube runs out!
Price: Rs. 799
