LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer (Medium Beige) Review

Hey guys, its Fareeha from Freiha Writes and I have a confession to make. I've been leading a pretty unhealthy lifestyle these days. Drinking lots of Coke and Pepsi which are full of sugar and not getting enough sleep have been turning my skin into a mess. I have breakouts on my cheeks and jawline and I have dark circles under my eyes. Pretty much a nightmare.

To fake a healthy complexion, I've been relying completely on the LA Girl Pro Conceal concealer in Medium Beige. This stuff is a godsend! Packed in a squeeze tube, this concealer has a creamy consistency. I apply it under my eyes and on my acne spots liberally and blend it out using a damp Real Techniques Sponge.

The concealer has fantastic coverage! It hides my blemishes and under eye circles in a jiffy, without any heaviness or cakiness. It does not crease on my skin and lasts upto 8 hours easily. The shade Medium Beige has yellow and peach undertones which work for my medium/fair skin.

Dry skinned girls will need a bit of moisturizer under this concealer, but I imagine this concealer will work beautifully on all skin types.

LA Girl concealer is available in a wide variety of shades and I'm now eyeing up the darker shades (Toast/Beautiful Bronze) to try out my hand at cream contouring!

I'd recommend this concealer to everyone and I'm definitely getting myself a few backups!

A guide to shopping at Lookfantastic India

I am so happy that Lookfantastic India has finally launched this Monday and to celebrate the launch I thought of putting together a list of products that I have my eye on, and things I want to recommend to you guys. Lookfantastic India has all the luxury beauty brands that are really hard to get your hands on here in India. Since it has so many amazing brands and products, things can get a little bit overwhelming, hence, you can consider this as a guide to shopping the site.

Lookfantastic India has free tracked shipping on purchase of Rs 6000 and above and a free gift worth Rs 3500 when you spend Rs 7500. You can also use the discount code "Debasree10" to avail 10% off in your orders.

Enjoy this list that I made, and I hope this will help you feel a little less overwhelmed and informed when you shop from the site. I've included the prices and links for all of the products mentioned below and everything is under Rs 2000, except the last one.

EX1 Foundations is a celebrity favourite, worn by Kendal Jenner to Britney Spears. It's a lightweight foundation with a luminous finish. I really want to try this and I love that the range has a colour chart, it makes buying the foundation so much easier.

Price: Rs 1246/- (Click here to buy)

I've heard only good things about the Bourjois Rouge velvet Lipstick and I've also had a lot of you recommend the shade Nudist to me. It's a matte lipstick with a soft, velvety texture and a non-drying formula. This lipstick and the shade is on top of my wishlist.

Price: Rs 896/- (Click Here To Buy)

I've used a mini version of this which I got in a Christmas set from Stila and I absolutely loved it. It is dark, smooth, waterproof and very long lasting. It has a very fine tip which helps in drawing the perfect winged liner, every single time.

Price: Rs 1446/- (Click Here To Buy)

The BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX SERUM FOUNDATION has been on my wishlist for the longest time. One of the first foundations I ever bought was the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation on Lisa Eldridge's recommendation and I think it is one of my absolute favourites till date. It made my skin look like skin, but covered imperfection and had a very radiant finish. I've heard even nicer things about the serum foundation and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Price: Rs 1096/- (Click Here To Buy)

I already own this and you must have seen this pop up in most of my makeup tutorials lately. That's why I thought of sharing this with you if you've been wanting to get your hands on it as well.

Price: 1595/- (Click Here To Buy)

Another one of those things that have been popping in almost all of my makeup tutorials and something you must get. It is AMAZING! I use the shade Nude. (I am NC42)

Price: Rs 797/- (Click here to Buy)

My holy grail lip balm! I cannot rave enough about this lip balm and you will only understand my emotions once you try this yourself. It is thick, matte and oh so hydrating. I have already used two tubs of this and will gladly repurchase it.

Price: Rs 947/- (Click Here to Buy)

I've only recently started getting the hang of wearing falsies, and honestly I am no pro at it but I am really liking to experiment with my makeup looks and I have been loving the added oomph that false lashes give. The Demi Wispies are a cult favourite and very natural looking, something that is straight up my alley.

Price: Rs 548/- (Click Here To Buy)

I've read really good reviews on this cleanser. I think it's a good option to look for if you want an affordable, everyday makeup cleanser. Very High on my wish list.

Price: Rs 498/- (Click Here To Buy)

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is a three-in-one moisturising lotion, primer and makeup remover. The lotion reduces dryness and is suitable for use as a repairing mask, to cleanse skin, or as a baby-care product. It is highly recommended by top makeup artists everywhere and a blessing for someone with normal to dry skin. I've used this when I had my makeup done by an MUA and I loved how my foundation sat on my face after that. I'd love to try this out.

Price: Rs 1595/- (Click Here To Buy)

Lastly, my final recommendation/something I want to splurge on is the Foreo Luna Mini 2. This is a bit on the expensive side and I I've used something similar from Pebblesonic which I LOVED. My skin was on it's best form while I was using that but sadly I lost the cable to charge that and I cannot use it anymore. I've read fantastic reviews on this online and I can't wait to try this out myself.

Price: Rs 9867/- (Click Here To Buy)

Look Fantastic India - 468 x 60

So, these are all the products that are on my wishlist, products that I wanted to recommend and share with you guys. Don't forget to use the discount code "Debasree10" to save some money and let me know if you want to add anything else to this list in the comments down below.

My Top 10 The Body Shop Favourites

I have been a fan of the body shop products for the longest time and I couldn't be happier to congratulate them on their 10th year Anniversary. It's a skincare brand that I have used for the longest time and am fortunate enough to be able to work with them as well. Since it is their 10th year anniversary, I thought I'd take the opportunity to share my top 10 the body shop favorites.

1. The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil
This will be your best friend on those nights where the last thing you want to do is remove makeup. If you wear eye makeup on the daily, I seriously cannot rave enough about this product. I highly recommend it.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is to be applied directly onto your dry, fully made up skin. Gently massage it into your eyes, lashes and basically, anywhere you have applied makeup, wet it slightly to turn it into a milk like consistency, and watch all your makeup vanish like magic when you rinse off the oil with water or by using a flannel/washcloth. The consistency of the oil is slightly runny, as opposed to being waxy as seen in other oil based cleansers, it is very silky indeed. It neither leaves any residue nor leaves your skin feeling dry or oily. It is the easiest and efficient way to remove makeup. It doesn't aggravate the skin, and the formula is really gentle because of Chamomile in the oil.
It is priced at Rs 1095 for 200ml.

2. The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil

You can watch my review of it in this video.

3.  The Body Shop Body Butters

I really like options when it comes to body butter and the feeling of getting lost in a lot of different types of fragrances just makes me really uplifted. The body shop has a huge array of body butters and some of my favourites are the hemp one, British rose, Argan Oil, Cocoa, and Shea Butter. I love the consistency of the body shop body butter and they work really well for my dry skin.

4. The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector

This one is made up of hemp leaves (Yes, it's made up of actual cannabis leaves; NO, don't try to eat/smoke it, if that's what you're thinking) and is very very moisturizing. This one is definitely for someone with really really dry and chapped hands, as it is very thick and creamy. It can feel a little greasy if your hands aren't too dry, so it's best applied at night or if you are someone who washes their hand very frequently, or stay in a very cold place. Although I've used a lot of their hand creams, this one remains my favourite. You could also use this cloth to take off makeup effectively using any cleansing oil, like almond, olive or even baby oil.

5. The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balms

The body shop lip balms have been my college staples. Omg! I used to love these back in the day and I have used them in almost every flavour. They are thick, smell delicious and keep your lips really supple. I recently started using the strawberry one again and I find myself reaching for it over and over again.

6. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil is a life saver for anyone with acne prone skin. It's multipurpose, you can use this to shrink an acne, add a few drops to your face mask, add it in your hair oil to get rid of dandruff. You can do a lot with this tiny bottle. It's very useful, and a staple in my vanity.

7. The Body Shop Luxury Facial Flannel

This cloth is amazing to remove tenacious face masks, especially clay masks.  Before I had this, I had to literally rub my skin to get rid of all the clay mask out of my face, but this cloth removes everything instantly. It is almost like a sponge, so instantly hydrates all off the mask at once and removes all the mask residue once you swipe cloth on your face. The cloth becomes stiff, and rigid when it's completely dry, but when the cloth is placed under lukewarm water, it turns very soft. The cloth dries off incredibly fast and is anti-bacterial.

8. Spa of the World Hawaiian Kukui Cream

This one has been a recent favourite and oh my word is this wonderful. Firstly, it comes in a humongous tub and it's seriously one of the thickest creams out there. If you turn the open jar upside down, the cream will not slide out. The smell is so so divine and lingers on your body for hours. One of the MOST hydrating body creams I have ever used.

9. The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Scrub

The scrub is gel based, with white micro granules and green beads that exfoliate your skin very gently. I use it all over my damp body, rub it gently in a circular motion and rinse it away. Despite the small size of the exfoliant, it exfoliates the body extremely well, makes your skin feel smoother and cleaner instantly. It feels like the scrub has infused moisture into your skin after you rinse it off. You'll love applying this in your bath.

10. The Body Shop Hand Loofahs

This is one of those things that fascinated me so much when I first saw it at a TBS store when I was in college. It's a lot of fun to wear this, lather up your shower gel and scrub your body. It exfoliates your skin really well and is easy peasy.

Those were my favourite the body shop products and to celebrate their 10 year anniversary they are going to give away a hamper to 3 of you guys. To  enter the giveaway, simply follow all the steps in the widget down below.

Suncros Soft Gel Sunscreen Review

If you're wondering why am I reviewing a sunscreen when monsoon has already arrived here, then think again. This is a very common misconception most of us have, to wear sunscreen only during summers or when it's sunny outside. You must wear sunscreen on each area that is exposed to daylight, all day every day.

Today, I am going to review the Suncros Sunscreen, with an SPF of 50+, PA+++, UVA & UVB protection, priced at Rs 545/- for 50g.

The Suncros soft gel sunscreen comes in a white tube and you need to squeeze to get the product out. The texture of the sunscreen is very soft, light and whipped. As you can tell from the pictures above, the sunscreen blends really well too without leaving any white cast. As the packaging suggests, the finish of the cream is matte and you're left with a supple feeling on your skin. Since the cream is very lightweight, it is ideal for all skin types and ages. You just need to take a coin sized amount onto your finger tips and apply it all over your face, and any other area, after applying moisturiser and before makeup. This sunscreen makes an excellent primer for your foundation too since it leaves the skin very smooth, the foundation glides on very well on top of it.

The Suncros Sunscreen is also water resistant, and very long lasting. If you happen to get water on your skin, you can see that the water droplets sit on top of the sunscreen and doesn't budge the cream at all. Even though the sunscreen is very long lasting, it is recommended that you reapply the sunscreen at twice a day.

This sunscreen is prescribed by dermatologists and you can also buy the sunscreen online or in stores.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick (Tulle) Review

Hello my loves, its Fareeha from Freiha Writes here and I'd like you to meet my new favorite lip product: Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Tulle.

It is a beautiful dusty, mauve burgundy shade (like a darker version of Revlon's Sultry matte balm). Packaged in a plastic tube, it comes with a doe foot applicator.

Since this lipstick is very pigmented, you need to apply only a thin layer on your lips. It sets very quickly to a powder matte finish. It feels very light on my lips, like I have no lipstick on!

It lasts on my lips for 7-8 hours easily with minimal fading. Once you've applied it, it won't budge. Since it is a matte liquid lipstick, it is a little drying on the lips, but not excessively so. You'll need to make sure your lips are well exfoliated and moisturized before applying this lipstick, otherwise it can go on patchy.

I've become a huge fan of this shade. It will suit our Indian skin tones beautifully, from the palest to the duskiest. Tulle has become my most reached for liquid lipstick and I highly recommend it!

Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter (Wisp) Review

Hey you guys, its Fareeha from Freiha Writes and today I want to introduce you to one of my favorite highlighters: Colourpop Super Shock Cheek highlighter in Wisp.

Wisp is brilliant. And I mean BRILLIANT! Its a gorgeous champagne gold color which suits almost every skin tone, from the palest to the darkest. The texture of this product is quite unique. House in a white plastic screw top jar, this product has a cream to powder, almost sponge like consistency. It is highly pigmented and I use my Real Techniques Setting Brush to apply this to the tops of my cheekbones. If you want a really full on highlight, I'd suggest you use fingers to dab this on.

It blends easily, lasts all day and gives me a lovely 'lit from within glow'. There is no chunky glitter in this one. If you want to get your strobe on and are looking for a champagne/gold highlighter that's high on pigment and lasting power, I'd suggest you give Wisp a go.

I was initially looking to get my hands on Becca's Champagne Pop, but Wisp has stopped me in my tracks, its THAT good.

PS: Debasree, give this one a try, you'll love it!

Colourpop Haul (Freiha Writes)

Hi guys! It's Fareeha from Freiha Writes here and today I want to share with you my recent Colourpop haul.

Colourpop is a relatively new brand, based in Los Angeles. They're known for their liquid lipsticks and eye shadows, especially because the quality of their products is SUPERB and they're so affordable!

You can place orders through either the Colourpop official website and have it shipped to India through a third party shipping agency (since Colourpop themselves don't ship to India). Or you can use a seller from Instagram. I highly recommend La Chickwick (that's where I ordered these products from).

Without further ado, here's my Colourpop haul:

Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks in shades:
Lumiere 2

Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick in shade Frick n Frack

Brow Pencil in shade Black n Brown

Ultra Matte Lippie Stix in shade Lumiere

Supershock Cheek highlighter in shade Wisp

I've tried these products so far and I've fallen head over heels in love with Colourpop. Next on my list is the eye shadows! If you want me to review these products in separate posts please let me know through my social media:
