Let's Talk About Shaving

I wanted to debunk a couple of shaving myths for you guys. Ever since I have mentioned that I shave my legs I have been getting a lot of questions about it and there are a few things that I wanted you guys to know.

The first myth is that shaving does cause hair to grow back thicker, darker of faster. It is not thicker, only the blunt ends make it seem that way. Once it grows out it takes the shape of your regular hair. It is also not darker as your genetics and DNA determine the colour and growth of your hair and not just shaving. Hair growth is constant for every individual so it isn't faster as well.

The second thing I get asked a lot is does shaving leaves the skin dry and flaky skin? Actually, shaving helps your skin feel smooth by whisking away the top layer of dead skin. You are actually exfoliating your skin, getting rid of the dead skin cells on the top layer and this is why you get a very smooth feel.

The third myth is that shaving causes the skin to darken. It's actually the opposite since it is very exfoliating. Just make sure to use fresh razors, as old ones can cause cuts on your skin resulting in bruises and pigmentation.

Lastly, I've heard people discussing that shaving frequently is bad for the skin. It isn't true. If you have fast-growing, thick hair you may be comfortable shaving every day. Just make sure you're exfoliating your skin on the days after you've shaved and kept it very well moisturized.

That's all for this blog post, let me know if you have any other question in the comments below.

Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick Review

Hello! How are you doing? I am in this quaint coffee shop, blood rushing with caffeine, and a head full of ideas. I just felt like writing a blog post today, talking to you guys the old fashion way. Not like blog posts are old fashioned, I just haven't been doing it very often lately with YouTube videos taking up most of my time. Anyway, lets get back to on track, I tend to derail my thoughts very much when I am high on coffee. You must talk to Larissa, to find out the things I do when I am high on coffee. See, I derailed again. So, today I wanted to review the new Lakme Enrich Matte Lipsticks. These are the new and revamped, good old Lakme Enrich Lipsticks. Remember the iconic maroon packaged lipstick? Yep, this is the same one, with a matte finish (thank god), and a cuter, clear packaging. There are 20 new shades in this range, and I was very kindly sent 4 shades to try and here's what I think.

These are affordable and you get a really good formula for what you pay. These lipsticks are pigmented, matte and very comfortable on the lips. The colours do not go patchy on the lips, how ever the purple on did go a little patchy and sheer at first, but did get better with the second coat. They kind of smell weird though, if you're a fan of sweet smelling things you'll like it, I don't. The lipstick isn't necessarily long lasting, but it does stain the lips. You will need to touch up when you're out and about.

The colours shown are:

These are priced at Rs. 295. Told you it was affordable. Also, if you're wondering if I got a new tattoo, I didn't. This is my lovely friend Shreeja's hand. I borrowed her hand.

Let me know if you'd like to try this for yourself? I think you should, talk to me in the comments down below.
