5 Things To Do If You’re Single This Valentine’s Day using the ASUS Zenfone 3s Max

If you’re a feeling alone this V-Day, I’ve listed 5 things you could do all by yourself and feel amazing after. This post is in association with ASUS and I have shared some of the things I love doing myself so I hope you like it. Here we go:

1) Cook an Extensive Meal For Yourself
If you take a step back and take a look at the things we do for ourselves, you’ll soon realise how you don’t really spend quality time with you. Search for a recipe on your Zenfone, from a cuisine you’ve never tried but wanted to, and go shop for the ingredients. Zenfone 3s Max supports multi-window mode, and this allows us to multitask with its split screen functionality, and switch between apps with absolute ease, so you can read the recipe while you’re cooking, and watch your favourite show online at the same time.

2) Explore Your City.
Have you actually explored all of your city? There are so many unexplored wonders everywhere we live, may it be an old, quaint tea shop or a museum. Carry your Zenfone 3s Max, and head on for an adventure in your city discovering new delights. Zenfone 3s Max is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery that is capable of providing a 4G standby time of 34 days, 3G talk time of 28 hours, 25 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing and 18 hours of continuous video playback. This ensures your phone will always be on, even if you don’t feel as energetic at the end of the day after your adventure.

 3) Take More Pictures
Document everything. I don’t just mean selfies, of course, you could take those too, but everything else that’s around you. It feels wonderful to go back to the days and memories. Zenfone 3s Max has many camera modes, beautification mode for selfies, super resolution mode to capture a beautiful sunset and a low light mode. So go ahead and create more memories using it.

 4) Dance Like No One’s Watching. Literally.
You know one of the best feelings in the world? Dancing your heart out to a silly 90s music alone in your room. Honestly, if you haven’t tried this before, you should right now. It will make you feel amazing, and you'll burn some calories along the way too. Blast the speakers on your phone and dance like no one’s watching.

5) Call Your Parents.
For most of us who live away from our home, we tend to procrastinate calling our parents or grandparents regularly. You might call them every day, but we hardly share any meaningful conversation. It’s the usual always, did you eat, how was your day, etc. This valentine’s day, try to spend a few more minutes and talk beyond the usual. Ask them where did they want to travel but never could, why did they name you this and not that, who was their first crush. It will make their day and yours.

Let me know how you're planning to spend today in the comments below!

A big thank you to ASUS for partnering with me for this post, and you can check out more about their Zenfone 3s Max here: https://z3n.asus.in/zenfone-max-series.html

The Wedding Guest

I don't know about you, but my Facebook page is filled with wedding updates. Almost every other post is about someone or the other getting engaged or married. With wedding updates also comes invites, and with invites comes the inevitable question, what do I wear?

Unlike my usual beauty ramblings, I'm sharing an outfit inspiration in this blog post. I bought this beautiful, royal blue, ethnic two piece from Global Desi at Pantaloons for Rs. 6000, back in October. I fell in love with this as soon as I wore it, I loved the way it fit me and how light it was. Usually with ethnic wear, the cloths tend to get really heavy, and your movement restricted, but with this outfit it neither of it. This two piece has a high waisted skirt and a kurta that has a front slit, which I love.

In case you're planning on attending a wedding soon, you can definitely check out lehenga sets like this. It's so easy to walk/twirl around wearing this and will look lovely on any size.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below!

5 Hacks for Oily Hair

Hello! everyone, today I am going to share 5 hacks for all you ladies with an oily scalp. These are some things that I have
tried and tested and will work wonderfully if you wish to get rid of that grease from your mane.

Here we go:

1. Dry Shampoo is your BFF.
If you have oily hair, then you NEED dry shampoo. On second day or third-day hair, just spray some dry shampoo on the roots by lifting your hair up in sections. Then rub your hair for 2 minutes so that it soaks up all the gunk, and you're sorted. It adds a lot of volume to your hair and keeps you from washing your hair too often. I am actually inseparable from my BBLUNT Back to Life Dry Shampoo. It's one of my holy grail products and I highly recommend it. It comes in two sizes, the smaller one is perfect for travelling with.

How To Use the BBLUNT Back to Life Dry Shampoo:
Shake the dry shampoo bottle well before you use it.

Lift a thin section of your hair from either side of your head and the crown section. Then spray the dry shampoo generously onto your scalp.

Rub the dry shampoo into your scalp by massaging it in using your fingers for at least two minutes.

And that's it, you'll notice a HUGE difference in your hair. It will look instantly lifted, and less greasy. Can you tell that this is my third-day hair?

2. Use a Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner.
If you have very oily hair, your hair might look very limp and lifeless. Using a volumising shampoo like the BBLUNT Full On Volume Shampoo and Conditioner helps in not only removing the excess oil but also adding volume and body to your hair. If you use a very nourishing/conditioning shampoo, it will leave your hair feeling heavier, and dull.

You can also use the BBLUNT Blown Away Volumising Leave-in Spray onto your damp hair to add more volume before you blow-dry (for maximum effect) or let your hair air dry naturally. To use this, you can flip your hair upside down, and then spray this generously on your damp hair. This will also protect your strands from any heat damage.

3. Don't apply conditioner on your scalp.
Apply conditioner only on the lower third of your hair and avoid applying it on your scalp. Whenever you're washing your hair, just shampoo the scalp and then rinse it out, followed by conditioner for 2-3 minutes just on the tips. If you apply conditioner on your scalp, it will make it oily and irritated. So avoid doing this every time you wash your hair.

4. Don't over wash your hair.
Over washing your hair, i.e. washing it too frequently can actually make your scalp oilier. The more you strip it of its natural oil, the more oil it will produce to compensate. It might be difficult to change this habit at first, but try and increase the gap one day at a time.
The best gap is from 3-4 days. Once you've trained your hair, you'll truly see a difference.

5. Stop using hot water to wash your hair.
Washing your hair using hot water makes your scalp really dry, which in turn makes your scalp produce more oil to compensate that, so avoid doing that as much as possible. Always rinse your hair with lukewarm or cold water. This also makes your hair look shinier.

These were my top 5 hacks for oily hair. These are things you can easily incorporate into your life, even with a busy schedule. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
